📚 December Book of the Month
Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera
For December we are going with a fast paced, entertaining thriller that keeps your brain awake even during holiday exhaustion. Listen for the Lie is twisty, funny in a dark way, well written, and one of those books you can finish in a weekend. It has true crime vibes, messy characters, and a storyline that makes you want to text someone “wait… hold on… WHAT.”
It is the perfect choice if you are in the mood for something addictive but not overwhelming, and it gives us plenty to talk about.
You can purchase it here using my affiliate link, if you want to read along.
💭 Lit or Miss by Becky
November’s Read: Good Spirits
I read our November pick, Good Spirits, and it turned out to be such a fun and cozy escape. It had that warm paranormal charm without being scary, and the found family moments gave the whole book a sweet, comforting tone.
The characters were easy to like and the humor actually landed. The romance was cute, the spice was light, and the pacing kept me turning pages when I probably should have been doing something responsible.
It is not the kind of book that changes your life. It is the kind of book that makes you relax for a few hours, and honestly that is just as valuable.
Verdict:
Lit. Four candles out of five.
A cute, magical, mildly spicy comfort read that fit the November mood perfectly.
If you read it too, let me know your rating.
📖 Looking Ahead to 2026
Before the year ends, think about what you want your reading life to look like in 2026. Maybe it is a certain number of books. Maybe it is trying new genres. Maybe it is giving yourself permission to DNF without guilt.
Your goal does not have to be big. It just needs to feel good to you.
🖊️ Journal Prompt
